‘Service to Many’ is the secret to Greatness in any endeavour in Life.
How many people are you serving with your career, profession, trade, business? How many people are you helping to provide solution to their needs? How many people remember you when they have a particular need and know that you will provide solution for them?
Name one great person in history and currently in our present generation either as individual or corporate body who is great and who does not provide service to many. Ask yourself; How many customers am I serving as a company or individual.
How many fans do I service as an entertainer? The more persons you serve with your talent in form of entertainment, the more greatness you achieve and with that comes wealth, fame and riches.
“Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
..Matthew 20 verse 26 – 28
Let us give some example of this undisputed law of greatness.
- America is an example of a great nation on earth today because it is the greatest helper on earth to many nations and individuals globally. There is hardly any other country that renders service to humanity like America. So to be a great country, be of help to many other countries and by doing this, wealth, fame, riches etc will follow.
- In the corporate world today, look around you and find examples and you will agree to this law of greatness. Facebook is a company that renders service to many. Nobody will disagree with me that Facebook is a great company. Google renders services to many and it is a great company. If you are in business or thinking of going into one, let your focus be to render service to many. The more persons you can help to find solution to their problems, the greater you will become. These great companies are very rich because greatness brings wealth.
- In sports for instance, Ronaldo is a great footballer because he has so many fans, he renders service to many in form of entertainment. He is rewarded with so much riches because he is great on the soccer field and serves many spectators. Why does he earn more than a local soccer player? It is because he services more people than the local player. He has more fans; he reaches more people and entertains them.
Serving many people and helping them find solution to their problems leads to greatness and greatness brings enormous wealth.
Emotional Benefit of Service to Others
You minimize your own difficulties if you concentrate on helping others with solution you can offer. This is the way to put your own problems into perspective as many people you can help, the more successful you become.
Naturally we focus on our problems and think they are much worse than they really are but if we focus on how many people we can help with our skills, resources, ideas, support, knowledge in form of service, leads to abundance mentality and happiness.
This ultimately leads to greatness as we continue to help more and more people. When you give happiness to other people, you automatically alternate your concentrate from deficiency to abundance, even if you are not giving financially.
Concentrating more on your troubles and difficulties can’t help but result in a keen awareness of lack, but by giving of yourself to those in need you are essentially asserting that you have “more than enough”, which will translate into all areas of your life as a center on copiousness.
Blessing others just feels really good.
It does not matter if you are making a financial donation or share-out your time or other imaginations or rendering other forms of service, it just feels good to help other people. That feeling acquires similarly when you make giving a steady habit, careless of the size of the contributions.
The more you do for other people, the more salutary you’ll experience about yourself. If you would like to heighten that good feeling even further, give anonymously. You will be blessing others without expecting to encounter anything reciprocally; and instead admit giving to be its own advantage, which makes the advantage that much sweeter.
You may feel that you do not have anything to give to other people at present and this is particularly true if you are experiencing serious financial troubles or other lack. Even so, giving in any way can immediately make you feel happier and more abundant.
“Whoever renders service to many puts himself in line for greatness – great wealth, great return, great satisfaction, great reputation, and great joy.”..Jim Rohn
Take advantage of this fact when you are carrying out any activity in life, in any relationship. Your focus should be, how can you be of service to as many people as possible. The more people you can reach and help, the better.
Your business should have a global focus. How can you utilize the internet to reach more people? You have a skill, how can you service more people? This should be the focus of everyone who desire greatness. Serve your customers by providing more value than they are paying for.
As you do your job, you should render more than you are paid, and this is service in your localized way and will usually lead to more responsibility and trust.
